Fifteen lines

This heavy season is not my whole story.

Written on a hard night in August 2026. Not motivation — just things that are already true. Read them slowly when the weather turns.

One — when I feel low

Ten things that are true even on the worst day

  1. I have survived one hundred percent of my worst days. My record is unbeaten.

  2. I will compare myself only to who I was yesterday, never to a life I cannot see from the inside.

  3. I control my effort, my attitude, and how I show up today. The rest, I release.

  4. When I feel lost, I will do the next small right thing, and let the good feeling follow later.

  5. Every U-turn in my life planted something I am still living on. The US made me an engineer. Nepal gave me Aojaswi and Yuvaan.

  6. I will plan like it matters and hold the outcome loosely, because who I become on the way is the real reward.

  7. My happiness does not wait at a finish line. I will find ten percent of it in this ordinary day.

  8. Being lonely together beats being lonely alone. I will let one person see one real thing about me.

  9. I carried my family through more than most people ever will. That strength is real — especially when I feel broken.

  10. This heavy season is one chapter, and I am still the one holding the pen.

Two — when money and comparison press in

Five things for the house, the car, and the questions from home

  1. A house and a car are things I will buy, not proof of whether I am worth anything. My family is already housed, fed, and loved. That foundation is already built.

  2. I am the sole income today, but I am not fragile. I have rebuilt from zero more than once and come back earning more each time. My skills are the real asset, and no layoff can take those.

  3. When someone back home asks when I will buy a house, they are speaking from their world, not living in mine. I will answer their love, not their pressure. My timeline is mine.

  4. Fear of losing my job is my mind trying to protect my family. I will thank it, then act — emergency fund, sharp skills, strong network. Preparation is the cure for fear, not worry.

  5. I am on a delayed timeline, not a failed one. Measured from where I actually started — a new country, on a visa, with a toddler — I am ahead, not behind.

Control what I can. Release what I can't. Do the next small right thing.

And appreciate the life I have — under this weather too, not only after it clears.
